1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for Veliane.org is Sang DAGRANG, a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France under SIRET 92792462100018, based in Asnières-sur-Seine 92600, France.

2. What we collect

Account: your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider). Profile: your name, age, city and country, a photo or avatar, who you are looking for, your introduction, and any optional details you add (such as relationship status, children, languages spoken or beliefs) and an optional intro-video link. Optional contact details: a phone number and WhatsApp, if you choose to add them. Consent record: a timestamp of your agreement when you join. We also process the basic technical data needed to run and secure the service.

3. Special-category data

Your orientation is implied by your own gender and the gender you are looking for. We treat this as special-category data and process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which is recorded with a timestamp when you join. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your account.

4. How and why we use your data

We use your data to create your profile and show it to relevant members inside Veliane.org, to order your Matches, and to operate, secure and improve the service. Your public city page displays only aggregate counts — never your personal data — unless you choose to be listed publicly.

5. Legal bases

We rely on your explicit consent for orientation data, and on the performance of our agreement with you together with our legitimate interest in running a safe, working service for everything else.

6. Who can see your data

Your profile is visible to signed-in members. Your phone number and WhatsApp are never shown to other members. Your public city page shows only counts. You can hide yourself from public search at any time in your profile settings.

7. Service providers we use

We never sell your data and we do not show advertising. To run the service we rely on a small number of providers who process data strictly on our instructions:

Supabase — database, authentication and photo storage. Your account and profile data are stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Photos are kept in a private store and are shown only through short-lived signed links.

Cloudflare — application hosting and content delivery. Requests to Veliane.org are served through Cloudflare’s global network, which processes limited technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

Resend — sending essential account emails, such as the message that confirms your email address when you join.

8. Cookies

Veliane.org uses only essential cookies needed to make the service work: to keep you signed in, to remember your language and your light or dark preference, and to record your agreement at sign-up. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not profile you across other websites.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and all associated data are deleted immediately and permanently. Limited records we are required to keep for legal reasons (such as the consent log) are anonymised so they can no longer be linked to you.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw your consent. You can delete everything yourself at any time from Edit profile → “Delete my profile”. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data-protection authority.

11. International transfers

Your account and profile data are stored in the European Union, and you may use Veliane.org from anywhere, for example from the Philippines. Because the site is delivered through a global network, limited technical data may be processed outside the EU to connect and secure your session. Where a provider transfers data outside the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version, with its date, always appears on this page.
